Christmas not the only December holiday

Christmas not the only December holiday:

matthewsatori:

For many years now, employees of the great majority of retail businesses are told say “Happy Holidays” to customers, rather than Merry Christmas…

Besides Christmas on the 25th, and six other Christian holidays throughout December, there are six other religions that celebrate specific holidays in December: Dec. 7-14, Hanukkah… Judaism; Dec. 8, Rohatsu (Bodhi Day)…Buddhist; Dec. 12th, Advent (fast begins)… Orthodox Christian; Dec. 21, Solstice… Wicca/Pagan; Dec. 23, Mawlid al Nabi…Islam; Dec. 26, Zarathosht Diso (death of Prophet Zarathustra)… Zoroastrian.

There is no “war” on Christianity but rather an inclusion of the beliefs of those of other religions and exercise of freedom of religion here in America — still the melting pot of the world.
